What we collect

Information you give us

• Inquiry forms. When you submit a form on /get-involved or /contact, we collect your name, email address, and message. Phone number is optional.
• Donations. Online donations are processed by Zeffy. Zeffy collects the information needed to complete your donation directly. We do not see or store your card details. See Zeffy's privacy policy for how they handle that data.

Automatically

• Google Analytics. If you accept cookies on this site, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people visit, how long they stay, and roughly where they're browsing from (typically city-level). Google Analytics may collect your IP address, browser, device type, referring page, and pages viewed. See Google's privacy policy. If you decline cookies, Google Analytics is not loaded and no analytics cookies are set.
• Hosting logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (request URL, IP, timestamp) for operational purposes such as debugging and abuse prevention.

How we use it

• Respond to your inquiry and follow up about membership, volunteering, sponsorship, or general questions.
• Send invitations to club meetings and service events when you've indicated interest.
• Process donations through Zeffy and acknowledge gifts.
• Improve the website based on aggregate analytics. We do not use analytics to identify individual visitors.

We do not use your information for advertising, do not sell or rent it, and do not share it with third parties except the service providers listed below.

Cookies and your choice

The first time you visit, a banner asks whether you'll allow analytics cookies. Until you choose, no analytics cookies are set.

• If you accept: Google Analytics loads and may set cookies named _ga, _gid, and similar.
• If you decline (or close the banner): no analytics scripts load and any existing analytics cookies are cleared.

You can change your mind at any time:

Service providers

We rely on a small set of service providers to operate the site. Internal infrastructure (hosting, database, transactional email) is operated by reputable third-party providers under standard data-processing terms; their identities are not published here for operational security but are available on request. Two consumer-facing services are named because you interact with them directly:

• Zeffy — donation processing (if you donate online). See Zeffy's privacy policy.
• Google Analytics — usage analytics (only if you accept cookies). See Google's privacy policy.

We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with advertisers or other third parties.

How long we keep it

Inquiry submissions are retained as long as needed to respond and for our internal records. You can ask us to delete your inquiry at any time using the contact details below.

Analytics data is retained per Google's default settings (currently 14 months for our property).

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• Confirm what we have on file about you.
• Correct or update an inquiry you previously submitted.
• Delete your inquiry from our records.
• Stop sending you follow-up about membership or events.

Email us at the address below and we'll act within a reasonable period.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The Interact Club program is administered through the high school and uses its own intake process; nothing about Interact participation is collected on this site.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be reflected on the homepage or via the inquiry confirmation email.
